American indie rock band formed in Cincinnati,The National will perform at Odyssey Arena this November.
They’ve been described as “dark, melancholic and difficult to interpret” (Cheng, Cheryl. Interview with Matt Berninger) but, far from being dull and brooding, The National have received widespread acclaim for both their albums and their live performances.
The National studio album Trouble Will Find Me, is on sale now!
This is the sixth studio album for the Brooklyn band, and follows 2010’s critical and commercial success High Violet. The album is the most self-assured collection of songs produced by The National in its 14-year career.
In an interview with UK’s Uncut Magazine, front man Matt Berninger described the songs as more immediate and visceral than their previous work.
Trouble Will Find Me possesses a directness, a coherency and an approachability that suggests The National are at their most confident.
The National’s lineup includes Matt berninger (singer), Aaron Dessner (guitar and keyboard) , Bryce Dessner (guitar), Bryan Devendorf (drums) and Scott Devendorf (bass).
“A show with The National is a chance to see a band hitting the top of their game right as they’re finally getting the full appreciation they deserve.” Nick Freed, Consequence of Sound.
